When the Israelites were wandering in circles through the desert, God gave them fresh manna to eat each morning, a cloud to guide them during the day, and a pillar of fire at night to guide them to their next destination. He instructed them not to store the manna, as they would get just what they needed for THAT day. They got sick of eating the same thing everyday and began to grumble.
When we are in a tough spot, we tend to think of what we don’t have, rather than what we do have! It is so easy to grumble and lose heart. We assume that God has forgotten how miserable we are.
God gives us exactly what we need to move forward in faith trusting Him to supply our physical and spiritual needs.
Christ knew He had to wait on God’s timing as he was suffering on the Cross, waiting to be released from taking on all of our sins.
In times of loss, grief, or sadness we have to CHOOSE to wait and trust in God and in His Son.
John 14:1,2 ” Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go there to prepare a place for you.” (New King James Version)
We can remain troubled, or we can CHOOSE to BELIEVE.
